This is the privacy policy for Lumi Wellness Portal, a telemedicine and patient portal app made by LUMISOFT (operated by E-Clinics International LLC). This policy applies to the app on both iOS and Android. In this policy we use “we”, “us” and “our” to mean LUMISOFT / E-Clinics International LLC, and “you” to mean the person using the app.
1. What information we collect
We only collect information that the app actually needs to work. This can include:
- Your account details — name, email, phone number, date of birth, and the password/token used to sign you in.
- Health information you enter — for example symptoms, medical history, prescriptions, appointments, uploaded documents or images, and messages to your care provider.
- Health metrics from Apple Health (iOS only, optional) — if you give permission, the app can read selected health metrics (such as heart rate, blood pressure, weight, steps) from Apple Health to keep your readings up to date inside the app. You can turn this off any time in iOS Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices > Lumi Wellness Portal.
- Video & audio during consultations — when you join a video/audio call with a provider, your camera and microphone are used for that call. The call itself is live; we do not record calls unless you are clearly told beforehand.
- Location (only for location-based features) — if you allow location access, we use it to help you find nearby doctors, find nearby pharmacies, and show directions to your appointment. You can turn this off anytime in your phone settings.
- Basic device info — device model, operating system, app version, and crash/error logs so we can fix problems and keep the app stable.
- Support messages — anything you send us when you contact support.
2. Why we collect it
- To create your account and let you sign in.
- To let you book appointments and have video/audio consultations with providers.
- To show your medical records, messages, prescriptions and documents inside the app.
- To help you find a doctor or pharmacy near you, and to show directions to your appointment location (only if you turn location on).
- To send you notifications about your appointments and consultations.
- To keep the app working properly (fix crashes, improve performance, protect against misuse).
- To answer your support questions.
- To comply with the law when we have to.
3. We do not sell or share your data
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use it for marketing.
The only time your information is handled outside the app is with trusted services we use to make the app work. They are not allowed to use your data for their own purposes. They only process it for us, under contract:
- Video/audio calls — the telehealth video service we use to run your consultation call.
- Maps — Google Maps is used inside the app to power Find a Doctor, Find a Pharmacy, and the Directions button on your appointment card. When you use one of these features, your device may share limited location and map data with Google Maps so it can show the map, the nearby results, and driving directions.
- Crash & error reporting — technical tools (like Sentry) that send us error logs so we can fix bugs.
- Push notifications — Apple Push Notification service on iOS and Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android, used only to deliver appointment and consultation alerts.
- Hosting & storage — the secure servers that store your account and medical records.
We may also disclose information if we are legally required to (for example, a valid court order), or if we ever go through a business change such as a merger. If that happens we will protect your information and tell you where the law requires.
4. Apple Health (iOS)
On iOS, the app can optionally read health data you have already saved in Apple Health (for example heart rate, blood pressure, weight, steps). We only read what you allow, and only to display your readings inside Lumi Wellness Portal for you and your care provider. We do not use Apple Health data for advertising, and we never share it with third parties for marketing. You can turn this access off at any time in iOS Settings > Health.
5. Health information
Your health information (symptoms, prescriptions, appointments, records, documents, readings, messages with your provider) is treated as sensitive. It is stored so that your authorized care team can view it to give you care. It is not used for advertising and is not sold.
6. Permissions we ask for (and why)
The app only asks for a permission when a feature actually needs it. You can change these anytime in your device Settings (iOS: Settings > Lumi Wellness Portal; Android: Settings > Apps > Lumi Wellness Portal > Permissions).
- Camera & microphone — only to make video/audio consultations with your provider.
- Location — only to show nearby doctors, nearby pharmacies, and directions to your appointment.
- Notifications — to alert you about appointments and calls.
- Photos / files / storage — only when you choose to upload a document or image to your records.
- Bluetooth — to let you use headsets or hearing devices during a call.
- Apple Health (iOS only, optional) — only if you allow it, to read selected health metrics from Apple Health.
If you turn a permission off, the related feature may stop working.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as long as we need to in order to provide the service, meet legal or medical recordkeeping rules, resolve disputes, and keep your account safe. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
8. How we keep your information safe
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data — for example encrypted connections, access controls, and restricted staff access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss or misuse.
9. Your choices and your rights
You can:
- View and update your profile inside the app.
- Ask us for a copy of the personal information we have about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete your information.
- Ask us to close your account.
- Withdraw a consent you gave us (where the law allows).
To do any of these, contact us at the email at the bottom of this page. We may need to confirm your identity first. Some information may need to be kept for legal or medical record reasons.
10. Children
Lumi Wellness Portal is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If a child uses the app, it should only be with a parent or legal guardian who is using the app on their behalf.
11. International users
If you use the app from a country different from where our servers or providers are located, your information may be processed in another country. Those countries may have different data protection laws. We still protect your information as described in this policy.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. If the change is important, we will also let you know inside the app.
